scrape. And no anesthesia, too. By choice. I figured I needed to pay
in pain for not having been in so long.

I was disappointed that they were out of flammable sugar to make creme
brûlée at the French place. I thought a sundae from McDonald’s didn’t
even deserve second place. As I pulled into the drive-thru, I was
reminded that things could be worse. My life’s road could require
travel in a vehicle that would forever tie me to a lesser collection
of people. I COULD be rolling with the Lamers.
